Los Angeles, CA (December 16, 2025) – Cuarteto de Nos ends 2025 with a release that celebrates the band’s journey during a year of open doors across the continent.
With “Esplín (En Vivo),” they relive their performance at the legendary Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City and capture the historic moment when they filled this legendary venue to capacity, selling out a month in advance to almost 18,000 people, as part of the tour to promote their latest album, “Puertas.”
With a powerful melody and haunting lyrics, “Esplín” alludes to the French poet Baudelaire and describes moments of emotional difficulty where “sometimes, healing means learning to live with what we will never cure.” For the band, filming this song in Mexico was very exciting, not only because it was the main track on the album, but also because the audience quickly took it as their own in a way that reinforces the close bond that has united them for 20 years.
This is the second track from Puertas to be released live, following the performance of “Ganaron Los Malos” at the Estadio Ferro in Buenos Aires.
With this new release, they take another step forward in a year in which the band released a new album and went on an extensive tour presenting these new songs and the most iconic songs of their career. The Puertas Tour visited 52 cities in 2025, with major historical milestones in the main capitals, such as the performance at the Movistar Arena in Chile, the Estadio de Ferro in Buenos Aires, and the aforementioned Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City, along with other big shows in Monterrey and Guadalajara, to name a few.
On December 6, Cuarteto de Nos closed their 2025 tour at home. Montevideo welcomed them with open arms, selling out months in advance. The tour will continue throughout 2026, with many dates already announced.
Puertas’ Vinyl Edition. As a year-end gift, Cuarteto is also releasing the highly anticipated vinyl edition of “Puertas” in a super limited edition of only one thousand copies.
