THE VENEZUELAN HITMAKER

Reigning from Valencia, Venezuela, Manuel Lara was born into an artistically informed family. His father is a saxophonist and his mother a ballet dancer, with such ties to the arts, Manuel was introduced to the arts and organization of cultural events by an early age. This reality quickly sparked an interest in him, who was playing the drums in his early childhood. By 12, Manuel was signed by Yamaha and toured around the world at different Jazz festivals. In 2009 Manuel was offered a scholarship to Berklee College of Music and formed a group with his brother called Lara Project. 

In 2019 Manuel signed to creative powerhouse and talent incubator NEON16 home to multi-platinum and Grammy winning producer Tainy as well as other renowned producers such as Jota Rosa and Albert Hype. In 2020, he received a Latin Grammy for his work on Bad Bunny’s El Ultimo Tour del Mundo album and in 2021 he made it to Billboard Latin’s Top 10 Latin Producers list. Manuelhas earned production credits with Bad Bunny, Rauw Alejandro, Tainy, Cuco, Julieta Venegas among others. He has also produced hit singles “Telepatía” (Kali Uchis), “Tacones Rojos” (Sebastián Yatra), “Desenfocado” (Rauw Alejandro), “Llori Pari” (Álvaro Díaz x Feid).
