| La agrupación uruguaya estrena, además, “Raro Live Session”, un minifilm audiovisual en primera persona desde el mítico apartamento del personaje del disco, acompañado de una gira exclusiva por 5 capitales de Latam. |
Two decades after the release of Raro, the album that redefined El Cuarteto de Nos’s career and shook up the Spanish-language rock scene, the Uruguayan band is commemorating this historic milestone with the exclusive premiere of “Raro Live Session,” a transmedia audiovisual project that completely breaks with the traditional studio format, followed by the announcement of the “ASÍ SOY YO” mini-tour.
True to their unmistakable creative style, Latin Grammy Winner El Cuarteto de Nos presents Raro (Live Session), an immersive work conceived as a mini-film set inside the legendary “Raro apartment.” The narrative opens on the day after the main character’s birthday party, revealing a scene steeped in poetic chaos, littered with empty glasses, balloons, and the remnants of a celebration tinged with nostalgia.
The entire session is filmed from the first-person perspective of the iconic character on the album cover. Through his eyes, the audience will explore the hallways and rooms of the apartment, which is filled with nods to the band’s universe and hidden references (Easter eggs) that only the most devoted fans will be able to spot.
Amid this chaotic and evocative scene, the band appears playing in a circle in the living room of the house, performing five of the album’s greatest anthems live: Nada es Gratis en la vida, Ya no sé qué hacer conmigo, Hoy estoy raro, Invierno del ’92
Yendo a la casa de Damián. The production also features a special appearance by Juan Campodónico, the album’s producer, who was considered the “fifth member of the Cuarteto” at the time.
As a continuation of this celebration and to bring it to a live setting, El Cuarteto de Nos announced the “ASÍ SOY YO” capsule tour, a show designed to visit exclusively in the five Latin American capitals of Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay. The show will offer a conceptual retrospective of the band’s last 20 years, from the groundbreaking Raro (2006) to their latest album, Puertas a. It will also visit two major U.S. cities: Miami and New York.
Each performance will feature staging and a narrative created especially for the occasion, along with a dynamic setlist of unique songs that will not be repeated from city to city
Raro’s timeless appeal and the band’s current popularity are backed by compelling statistics that rank El Cuarteto de Nos among the top five most-streamed Latin rock artists in the region and as the Uruguayan artist with the largest international following. With more than 6.1 million monthly listeners on Spotify and a massive following of over 1.4 million on TikTok, 2 million on YouTube, and 800,000 on Instagram, the band is experiencing a constant generational shift led by a young audience that embraces their songs as symbols of a shared identity.
