Dominican-American singer-songwriter La Cassandrakicked off 2026 with a powerful cultural moment, performing the U.S. national anthem at the Brooklyn Nets’ Noche Latina on Wednesday, January 7, at Barclays Center.
The evening celebrated Brooklyn’s vibrant Hispanic and Latine community through music, culture, and pride, in an atmosphere that felt deeply aligned with La Cassandra’s artistry and roots. Her performance marked not only a symbolic start to the year, but also a continuation of the strong momentum she built throughout 2025.
Last year proved to be a defining chapter for La Cassandra. She released her sophomore album Gloria & Dolores, and steadily unveiled its world through a series of striking visuals, beginning with the music video for “Nadie Como Tú,” followed by “Qué Sabía Yo,” “No Tengo Dueño,” and “Bailando.” Toward the end of the year, she shared the music video for “By Your Side” — the album’s only English-language track — as a heartfelt thank you to fans who have supported her throughout her career.
In summer 2025, La Cassandra embarked on her first U.S. tour, bringing her Caribbean flair stateside and transforming each stop into a living extension of her world.
